I don't know about you, but I love bamboo!  I love the look of the wood and I love it as a fabric (aka "rayon from bamboo"), so wouldn't it be fun to have an all bamboo bed?

Here's a platform bed from Crate & Barrel that's made with solid bamboo, 'Bento Bed', $1599 for a queen.

Company Store has some great bamboo/cotton sheets.  They are 300 thread count and sold open stock.  A queen set adds up to $127.

This blanket is 100% bamboo, Bamboo Dreams Woven Blanket, a queen is $175.

I just ran across this fabulous bed at Garnet Hill inspired by old iron gates.  It comes in six different finishes: antique black, dark brass, distressed red, gunmetal, rust and textured white.  You can buy just the headboard or the set.  The prices are from $448 - 998.

I have a soft spot for antique beds since I grew up in an antique crazed family. High quality antiques often cost a fortune, but you can still get the look from a new piece.  Cuddledown of Maine has some nice antique-looking beds.

This Acorn Bed is very well made with solid maple wood and mortise and tenon construction. It may not be an antique today, but it's built to be one in the future.

I know many people prefer more modern looks these days, but if you're lucky enough to have a second home like a beach cottage or rural getaway I think it's great to have a different look; and often a rustic feel mixed with antiques looks great and makes the space feel like the retreat that it's meant to be...

Wow, look at this beautiful leather bed by Crate & Barrel (Archer Leather Bed, $1,899 - $2,099). It looks like a nice leather couch turned into a bed.  I love chocolate brown leather...
